Honda Civic Type R

Enthusiasts have long drooled over the idea of a Type-R on U.S. soil and this year Honda is finally bringing the nameplate to the U.S. with the 2018 Civic Type-R. Based on the 10th generation Civic hatchback, the car will be the quickest Civic to date and will feature a 2.0-liter i-VTEC DI TURBO that produces 306-hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.

That engine will be coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission and a rev matching system. Other upgrades include an increase in rigidity, aluminum hood, selectable driving modes, a comprehensive aero kit, triple-exhaust tips, and 20-inch black alloy wheels.

The car will be priced in the mid $30k range and come in a Touring trim package that includes a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 540-watt, 12-speaker audio system standard.
