One of the most ferocious grocery-getters on the planet is entering its sixth-generation and it's got some new tricks up it sleeves to fight off the competition.

The all-new 2018 BMW M5 debuts their latest TwinPower Turbo technology alongside a 600-hp V8 that can get from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds and can reach 189 mph with the optional M Driver's Package. All that performance will be accompnaied by an M xDrive system that puts all that power to all four wheels and also has a 2WD mode. A new eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic also makes a debut.

Other features include M compound brakes standard, optional M carbon ceramic brakes, a lightweight CFRP roof, an updated double-wishbone suspension, specially homologated tires, and wheels that are rated for the 189 mph top speed.

The car will hit showrooms in the Spring of 2018 with a Frozen Dark Red Metallic First Edition that will be limited to 50 vehicles.
