RUF is paying tribute to the legendary 1987 CTR "Yellow Bird" with a new CTR supercar for 2017. It will be the first RUF car engineered and designed by RUF and will be the first rear-engined car to have a carbon monocoque chassis. The car will be powered by a twin-turbo 3.6L flat-six and will put out 700-hp and 649 lb-ft of torque.

All this power is controlled by a proper six-speed manual gearbox and is capable of a 0-62 time of 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of more than 223 mph. Production of the 2017 CTR will begin in 2018 in Pfaffenhausen, Germany and will be highly exclusive just like every RUF before it with a limited production run of 30 cars.
