Mercedes' quirky little city car gets a next generation upgrade with a whole new design, an even tighter turning radius, and a brand new set of three-cylinder engines to power it.
Developed with their partners over at Renault, the new Smart car will feature three engine options which include a 60 hp option and a 71 hp and 90 hp three-cylinder option. The top of the line 90 hp model will be a turbocharged edition which is also fuel efficient and also features an automatic start/stop system. Each car can be equipped with a five-speed manual or a twinamic six-speed dual clutch transmission. No word on which specific models will make it Stateside, but our European friends can expect the Smart Fortwo (and Forfour) models to hit showrooms in November.
