2012 Mercedes SLK

Mercedes' compact drop top gets an SLS-inspired makeover in its new iteration that leaves the cutesy-ness behind with better proportions and contours that remind us of the vintage Mercedes roadsters of yesteryear. Two engine options will be available at launch with the top-of-the-line choice being a 3.5 liter, 304 horsepower V6 or a 1.8 liter, 201 horsepower four-cylinder. And as with any new Benz, the car plays host to a variety of new technological features such as a drowsiness detection system called "Attention Assist" and "Pre-Safe Brake" which automatically slows the car when an impending collision is detected.
