Currently in the concept stage, Nissan's Leaf is their first foray into electric cars and will be powered by a lithium ion battery capable of a range of 100 miles and is also highway capable. The car can be charged via a 220v outlet in eight hours and will reach full capacity in under half an hour though a higher capacity outlet.
