Sony Reader Daily Edition

Looks like Sony isn't going to sit out the fight with the Kindle after all, the company just unveiled their very own 3G capable e-book reader, The Sony Reader Daily Edition. The design (which we think is sleeker than the Kindle) houses a seven inch, touch screen display which can be turned horizontally for reading in landscape mode. The killer feature here is obviously the 3G access which gives you a fee-free connection to Sony's online bookstore. It also can access Google's public domain library and even more interesting a service called "OverDrive" which lets you borrow books with a valid library card from your local library that are formatted for your Sony Reader.
