Nettleton English Cavalry Collection

nettleton.jpg

With over a century of experience in crafting dress shoes, Florida-based Nettleton should have no issues building a sophisticated line of footwear worthy of a royal mounted unit.

They've done exactly that by teaming up with British bespoke shoemaker Tony Slinger, who just so happens to be an authorized bootmaker for the Queen's Household Calvary (her official bodyguards). Aptly named the English Calvary Collection, the shoes are understated and elegant with hand-rubbed leather uppers, intricate perforations at the toes, and can be purchased off the shelf or completely customized with various leather choices or exotic materials.

Nike N98 Suit by Ozwald Boateng

nike.jpg

Suitmaker Ozwalkd Boateng brings a bit of Saville Row to the N98 with his take on the N98 Track Jacket. Boateng has come up with a suit concept that mixes classic tailoring techniques with technical features normally found in a sport performance piece.

Designed for the Brazilian football team, Boateng and Nike chose a lightweight wool to keep players comfortable in the country's warmer climate and features tracksuit sleeves on the jacket and on the ankles of the pants. A tonal Brasil logo across the back evokes a sporty and refined aesthetic and technical details are strategically placed throughout with lasercut perforations and sonically-welded seam-sealed pockets. The suit will be exclusive to the Brazilian hosts for the time being and with how well executed it is, it would be a big mistake for Nike to pass up on a general release.

Nike Free Flyknit Chukka Hypervenom

nike.jpg

Inspired by the golden cleats worn by Brasilian football star Neymar Jr., Nike launches the Hypervenom collection. The collection is marked with hits of gold and will feature five special edition shoes: The Air Max 1, Roshe Run, Tiempo 94, Air Max 90 Jacquard, and the Free Flyknit Chukka.

Our favorite, the new Free Flyknit Chukka is lightweight and comfortable with a Flyknit upper and Flywire support system. The Sportswear Hypervenom version gets a good amount of pop with its gold specks on the Nike Free sole and the subtle streaks of gold in the upper is a bold but subtle touch that definitely separates it from the pack. Look for the rest of the collection and the Chukka on Nike.com and select Nike Sportswear dealers on June 26th.
