Private White V.C. x Cool Hunting Pocket Jacket

The stylish team over at Cool Hunting were properly kitted out with some great looking gear for a recent Zambian adventure and one of those pieces was a rugged and refined jacket from British outfitters, Private White V.C..

Named the Pocket Jacket, the jacket was based on a design from an archival piece from Private Jack White's archive, a hunting jacket made from a sturdy cotton weave. The special cotton weave construction allows for the jacket to be lightweight and strong while a lamb nappa leather collar adds a sophisticated touch.

$640, Private White V.C.

Outlier Vented Double Hood

We're not sure if we'll look all cinematic and heroic like the models in Emiliano Granado's stunning photography for Outlier, but if you've had any firsthand experience with their pieces you know they will definitely deliver on fit, feel, and performance.

A new product of their experimental line, the Vented Double Hood is a long sleeve cardigan made from ultrafine 17.5 micron merino. It's a natural technical fabric that we've waxed poetic about a billion times before and it's one that has become a favorite of the brand and executed in well-designed concepts such as this.

Stone Island Wool Ice Jacket F/W '14

A staple of their collection every winter, Stone Island presents a new version of its Wool Ice Jacket that blends the wool outer with a thermo sensitive yarn.

What does that do? Well, the yarn is embedded with thousands of micro-encapsulated pigments which change the color of the jacket according to the outside temperature. When the mercury drops, the jacket darkens. Pretty crazy right? It also features a water and wind-resistant exterior, a removable quilted hood, and enough wool to keep you warm on frosty evenings.
