Ardica Moshi Power System

Ardica's Moshi Power System is this pretty incredible heating and power system that can not only provide warmth while integrated within your outerwear but also be coupled with a convenient "tech connector" to help charge all your portable gadgets. For heating the Moshi runs for a total of 9 hours on its lowest setting and 3 hours on its highest. For portable devices you can get 11 charges for a cell phone and 20 charges for other devices such as iPods, GPS units, or MP3 players. Charging the Moshi only takes 3 hours for a full charge and a quick charge for 80% capacity only takes 1.5 hours. Its a definite must have on the slopes this season. Link: $145

Ride Contraband Bindings

Outside the risk of injury, there really is only one downside to snowboarding and that's the time you waste strapping in and out of your bindings. Ride's Contraband bindings gets rid of the toe strap for a "v-strap" single ratchet design that lets you step into your binding and only have to ratchet down once to strap in. Link: $200

Oakley Proven

With some of the world's most legendary snowboarders swearing by their goggles, its only appropriate that they name their latest goggle, Proven. The Proven wraps the fog-free dual lens in a durable frame with angular lines that establish the goggle's aggressive styling. Link: $50

ThirtyTwo Ultralight

No, that's not a boot liner for a snowboard boot that you're looking at. That's ThirtyTwo's "Ultralight" snowboard boot that features a low profile shell to reduce weight, articulating cuff for optimized fit and heel hold, STI Evolution Foam for cushioning, and a 3-D Molded Tongue wraps around the foot to improve fit and make lacing up a whole lot easier. POC Bug Series

If you're an aggressive skier that likes to experience the best of what your local mountains have to offer then its probably a good idea to invest in some serious hardware to keep yourself in one piece. POC's Bug Series was designed for just that, a lineup of helmets, spine protection, gloves, and goggles that offer hi-tech protection from the elements and any potential injury. Our favorite product is the Spine Ergo Bug (right) which gives your back some much needed armor and the comfort of flexible EVA and the security of complete back protection with optical cerivcal and coccyx attachments. Spy Optic Apollo Goggle

Spy Optic's Apollo is the first snow goggle on the market to feature a multibase lens called, Mosaic, to provide maximum peripheral vision in a compact frame. The goggle also features a Magnesium/Grilamid hinge that turns 360 degrees under any kind of movement for better comfort and easy fitting under a helmet. Link: $170-$190

K2 Zero

K2 used its knowledge in board construction over the years to develop the K2 Zero, their lightest board ever built. The weight of the Zero is accomplished through the use of of their Hybrilight technology which is built from a minimal amount of material and contributes to its environmentally friendly construction. The board also features a layer of "Harshmellow" which helps significantly reduce vibration at high speeds. Link: $700

Nike Zoom Force 1

Its that time of the year again when all the snowboard and ski companies hawk their new gear to prepare you for the winter snow season. One of the big new releases this season is Nike's long awaited comeback into snowboarding with their Nike Zoom Force 1 boot. The boot is a freestyle boot inspired by Nike's Air Force One sneaker and features a Zoom Air cushion in the heel.

Spy ZED

There are a lot of goggle choices out there and a few dozen choices when it comes to lenses for different conditions. Spy's ZED gives you a versatile goggle inside a durable frame that features anti-fog and anti-scratch lenses. They also give you two lenses for Sunny and Overcast conditions. [$90]

MOMODESIGN Ice Helmet

There really isn't much to say about MOMODESIGN's Ice Helmet, other than the fact that its simply the sleekest piece of protection you can have on your dome this season. The helmet features the use of thermoplastic, steel mesh inserts, and an adjustable integrated goggle. [$TBD]

O'Neill NavJacket

If you ever get lost while on the mountain O'Neill's got a new jacket that will make sure you make it back to the lodge and lost in the backcountry to get your head bitten off by a Yeti. The GPS unit inside the jacket uses speakers inside the hood and a display on the arm to deliver up to the minute weather conditions, current speed, route details, and distance. The NavJacket can also work with your mobile phone to give you 3D views of resorts and points of interests. Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait for the NavJacket to hit the shops, it won't be available till the 08/09 ski season. [$TBD]

F*ck Yoga Snowboard

If centering yourself involves being strapped to a wooden plank while screaming down the mountain side at a high rate of speed, you may just get a good kick out of owning one of these "f*ck yoga" snowboards. Available in sizes 151-157 and feature aspen wood cores. [$385]

IS Design Forma

Angular and Stealth-like lines make up IS Design's sleek Forma goggle which resembles something that just escaped out of a skunk works laboratory. Forma uses "R-Tex" mesh which prevents ice and snow from clogging the goggle's vents and triple layer face foam enhances fit and comfort. The goggles also come with a mirror lens and rose lens to keep you covered in just about any weather condition. [$145]

O'Neill H4 Campack

O'Neill's H4 Campack will help you show off your tricks with a fully featured snowboard pack that includes a video camera that can be goggle or helmet mounted and is activated by a large glove friendly record button located the shoulder strap. All the footage you record on the mountain can also be viewed on the integrated portable media player which features a 2.4 inch screen. [$400]
