Mondrian SoHo

Opening this week in downtown Manhattan is the third property from the infamous Mondrian hotel brand, Mondrian SoHo. The 270 room hotel is designed by Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz who took his inspiration from Jean Coucteau's film “La Belle et la Bête" that bathes the hotel in a powdery French blue. The design language also makes its way into Chef Sam Talbot's sustainable seafood restaurant, Imperial No. Nine, where diners are surrounded by a garden-inspired space with oversized hand-blown glass sculptures by Beth Lipman. Among the 270 rooms the hotel will have four suites each featuring a terrace and a grand penthouse on the 25th floor that overlooks lower Manhattan.
