Holiday Gift Guide '07
The Holiday season is now upon us, and that means its time for acquire's Holiday Gift Guide. We've chosen our favorite items this year to add to your wishlist, and threw in a few new ones in there as well. So kick back, relax and put on your favorite christmas tunes and enjoy.

Amazon Kindle

Amazon is giving the electronic book a much needed jump-start with their very own ebook reader, The Amazon Kindle. Kindle features a high resolution electronic ink display which is almost like reading text off a piece of paper. Books can be previewed and purchased via Amazon's "Whispernet" which uses widely available cellular connectivity so you'll never have to look for a Wi-Fi hotspot. Other specs include onboard storage for around 200 books, SD expansion, Dictionary, Wikipedia access, and a full QWERTY keyboard. [$400]

Keyport Slide Limited Edition

What has to be one of the best products to come out this year will finally be available for sale in an initial limited edition run of 5000 Keyport Slides. If you're not already familiar with the Keyport Slide, it is a slick little unit that accepts six of your keys which slide out of the Keyport with a simple slide of the finger. Future Keyports will also be able to integrate features like a led flashlight and more importantly RFID remote keyless entry. [$295]

Sansa TakeTV

SanDisk wants to make it easy for you to enjoy your video on any TV with their new portable TakeTV Video Player. The TakeTV accepts a variety of video file formats from your PC which can be easily dragged to the device and can be immediately played back when plugged into a TV. TakeTV is also compatible with SanDisk's new FanFare TV and Movie download service. The device comes in 4GB and 8GB models and each include the remote, cradle, and Composite/S-Video cables. Tumi Townhouse Bond Trunk

Tumi is going retro with their Townhouse Trunk luggage pieces that feature the classic trunk luggage styling with the added durability of Tumi's ballistic nylon. The Bond Trunk also features leather trimmed edges and corners, corner wheels and a hidden pull handle, accessory box, suit hangar, leather tie down straps, and custom Tumi tuck locks. Its like the Stealth Bomber version of a Louis Vuitton Trunk. [$2,595]

Bill Amberg Hulger Dashiell Phone

Hulger's mobile phone handsets were already great by themselves, and now they're stepping it up a bit by collaborating with the Bill Amberg Studio for a new line of luxury handsets. Our favorite, the Hulger Dashiell, is wrapped in tan bridle leather and is available in wired and Bluetooth versions. [$460-$700]

Nike Amp+

If you've been working out with the Nike+iPod Sport kit, you've probably already imagined how great it would be to control your Nano without fumbling with your sport sleeve or removing your iPod. Thankfully, Nike is finally releasing the Nike Amp+ which lets you wirelessly control your iPod directly from the Amp+'s integrated controls. Amp+ features a polyurethane band, an LED readout that displays the time and iPod icons when activated, 50m water resistance, and a dedicated button for instant access to your power song. [$79]

iPod Nano

The holidays are coming and you know that means new iPods, first up, is Apple's new iPod Nano. The new iPod Nanos feature a thinner and shorter body, 2 inch screen, and a completely new user interface which can now use coverflow to browse music as well as play videos. They are also compatible with games and will come preloaded with 3 titles. [$150-$200]

Oakley Red Shift Collection

This fall Oakley is launching a WW2 inspired bag collection called, Oakley Red Shift, that features Soviet-style graphic treatments, classic military styling, and distressed faux leather and cotton canvas materials. Our favorite pieces have to be the Class C Sack (Bottom Left - $60) and the Class C Duffel (Top Right - $80). [$25-$80]

The Art of Shaving Fusion Chrome Collection Power Razor

If you love the idea of the Gillette Fusion, but the design puts you off a bit, The Art of Shaving guys have something a little more refined for your tastes. If Guitar Hero wasn't enough for you, the original creators have kicked it up a few notches to bring your Axel Rose and Tommy Lee wannabe buddies in on the action with Rock Band. Rock Band lets you create your own virtual Supergroup with a drummer, bassist, guitarist, and a vocalist, where you can play in the same room or online together anywhere in the world. The Special Edition of Rock Band includes a mic, guitar, and drum set and features 40 songs from bands such as the Foo Fighters, Metallica, Black Sabbath, and more. With all of the constant robberies that have been happening at the Jack Spade store in New York, they've decided to make light of the situation with a wallet that has a pretty specific warning for any would-be thief or that sticky-fingered roommate of your's. [$115]

Everyone hates carrying around all those power bricks and cables for charging your devices, its messy and its never fun hunting for that specific cable in a pretzel like mess of knotted wires and adapters. Callpod's Chargepod hopes to change that with a small coin shaped device that charges up to six devices with only one Chargepod. Virtually all of your devices are compatible with optional tips that are available for purchase. [$50]
