What happens when you add the speed of Hermes to Merc's Hercules? You get the Brabus B63-620 Widestar. Automotive overkill in Mercedes' largest SUV package. Brabus has squeezed out 611 hp out of the GL63's 5.5L twin-turbo V8 that will get the car rolling from 0-62 in 4.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 174 mph. 2014 BMW X5

BMW unveils a the third generation of its brutish SUV, the 2014 X5. The car will come in three engine variants, a XDrive35d six-cylinder diesel, an inline-six Twin-Turbo sDrive35i/xDrive35i, and a xDrive50i model which sports a V8 engine with a Twin-Turbo system that will put out 450 hp, 479 lb-ft of torque, a 0-62 time of 5 seconds flat, and a limited top speed of 155 mph. Inside, the new X5 is spacious and roomier than the outgoing model and is chock full of hi-tech toys such as an improved version of their heads up display, a "SurroundView" 360-degree display, Night Vision with human and animal detection, optional Bang & Olufsen audio, and a big 10.25 control display to navigate through the company's iDrive system. Mercedes GLA Concept

The new Mercedes GLA crossover concept has just surfaced and thankfully its not another R-Class. Based on the A-Class hatch, the sporty concept previews the production design of the upcoming crossover that will be joining its other siblings in the G-Series lineup. BMW X4 Concept

The leaky faucet that brings us embargoed images of cars has struck again, this time with BMW's new crossover, the X4. The design shares a similar shape to its polarizing bigger brother, the X6, but is definitely a more refined and improved design. 2014 Range Rover Sport

Longer and more brutish than the outgoing model, Land Rover's new 2014 Range Rover Sport definitely cements itself as the muscle car of the lineup. The new Sport is lighter and more agile than the previous model shaving off a total of 800lbs due to its new aluminum construction, giving the car improved efficiency and better handling and performance on the road. Two engine options will be available, a 3.0L V6 that puts out 340 hp and a 5.0L Supercharged V8 that produces 510 hp and can hit 60 mph in 5 seconds flat. Land Rover Electric Defender Research Vehicle

Don't get too excited. The iconic and gas devouring Defender is indeed getting a new electric brother, but don't expect this in showrooms anytime soon. Targeted for "specialist applications", the Electric Defender Research Vehicle swaps out the diesel engine for a 70kw (94 hp) electric motor coupled up with a 300 volt lithium-ion battery that should power the car for a range of up to 50 miles.
