The new Lightning GT was just unveiled at the British Motor Show in London and by the looks of things its got us asking, Tesla who? The all carbon fiber body of the Lightning GT will be surrounding four electric motors that give the Lightning 700hp and is said to be able to use the power to get from 0-60 in four seconds. Not much is known yet about the Lightning's MSRP (or if its being released in the States at all) but they are accepting $30,000 deposits for those of you who want to be the first to own one. 2010 Chevrolet Camaro

Rising Gas prices be damned! Nothing is going to stop the General from releasing one of the most beloved marques in Chevy history, the 2010 Camaro. Today GM finally unveiled the production model and its every bit as good looking as we all hoped it would be.
They also announced that the Camaro will launch with three models — an LS, LT, and a high performance SS model. The two base models will be powered by a 3.6L 296 horsepower V6 while the SS gets a 416 horsepower 6.2L V8. Additional pics after the jump. Link: $TBD / Source

2009 Lotus Evora

The British supercar lives! The 2009 Lotus Eagle finds its power in a Toyota 3.5 liter V6 that pushes out 276 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. Lotus says the Eagle hits 60 in under five seconds and will reach a top speed of 160mph. Convertible versions and high performance models of the Eagle are also planned for release by October 2011. 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera 4

Porsche's new 911 Carrera 4 for 2009 is more efficient, has 20 more horsepower for a total of 345 hp (385 on the 4S), a Porsche Traction Management AWD system, and the infamous wide rear stance. As if the Pontiac Sport Ute/El Camino wasn't enough, they've decided to add a coupe version of the Solstice to their growing stable of peformance cars. A sleek fastback-style roofline differentiates itself from its roadster brethren, but still delivers an open-air driving experience with a removable hard top. The sexy Maserati GranTurismo is getting a much needed performance upgrade in the newly unveiled GranTurismo S. The S model shares the same 440hp 4.7 liter engine from another Italian beauty, the Alfa 8C Competizone, and is coupled with the MC-Shift gearbox. Dodge Challenger SRT8

Dodge is reigniting the Pony Car Race with the announcement of the official pricing of the new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 (picture above is concept). The SRT8 will be coming in at an MSRP of $37,995 and will be powered by the 6.1L Hemi engine which will be available with a manual or automatic transmission option. Dodge will be taking orders starting on December 3rd and three colors of the SRT8 Challenger will be offered - Black, Orange, and Silver. [$37,995]

2008 Mustang Bullitt

Ford is paying tribute to one of the greatest cars to ever grace celluoid, Steve McQueen's Bullitt Mustang. The 2008 Bullitt Mustang echoes the same under the radar appearance as the original with the Dark Highland Green paint job, badgeless grill, and they even went as far as researching the exhaust note in the movie to recreate it for the new Bullitt. The car's engine produces 315hp from a 4.6L V8 and uses a modified chassis and suspension to take advantage of the car's extra power. The car also sports satin aluminum trim accents, black interior with charcoal black sport seats, and a Shaker 500 six disc/MP3 eight speaker sound system. [$31,075]

The much anticipated Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is finally hitting dealerships with a completely redesigned exterior and a brand new MIVEC4 engine. The new MIVEC4 is a 2.0 liter, turbocharged four cylinder engine that is capable of producing 295hp. The Evo X is available with a new Twin Clutch SST automatic manual and of course it is also available with a 5 speed manual gearbox. Porsche and their internal Porsche Design Studio are launching a limited run of Cayman S Porsche Design Edition 1 coupes in a stealth black exterior which pay tribute to both Porsche Design and their original Chronograph 1 timepiece. The sleek black design style continues into the car with black leather and Alcantara upholstery, a black dashboard, and a black three spoke steering wheel. You also receive a special briefcase that includes a Flat Six Chronograph, a pocket knife, sunglasses, pen, and a key ring, all of which are done in black as well. 777 models of the Porsche Design Edition 1 will be built and will be available in January 2008. We're still not the biggest fans of the "flame surfacing" design style that BMW has been incorporating into their cars for the past few years, but we have to admit the new 1 Series looks surprisingly good in all its flame surfaced glory. The coupes will be available in 128i and 135i models which both sport a 3.0 liter inline 6 and deliver 230-300hp. [$TBD]
