2011 Chevy Volt
Today GM unveiled what may be one of the most important cars in automotive history, the 2011 Chevy Volt. The Volt's killer feature is its ability to travel up to 40 miles before ever taking an ounce of gas out of the fuel tank. The more than 220 lithium ion cells used in the car can be recharged in three hours while plugged into a 240v outlet or eight hours on a 120v outlet. Other features include a configurable LCD instrument display, touch screen controls for vehicle information and infotainment, and standard USB/Bluetooth connectivity. More images after the jump.
