Mercedes F125 Concept

Celebrating 125 years of the automobile, Mercedes is debuting its vision for the future of the luxo-barge, the F125 Research Vehicle. At the core of the concept is the company's F-CELL Hydrogen/Electric Hybrid powerplant that boasts a total range of 621 miles. That range is a result of a carefully constructed system of a lightweight material mix of carbon fiber, aluminum, and high-strength steel. Couple that with new, lighter-weight lithium sulphur battery technology, which on its own is good for 31 miles of travel. Performance-wise the F125 is no slouch, the car can get up to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 137. And of course, the car is a technological tour de force with touch and hand-gestured based navigation for the car's controls, 3D screens, and an array of social media and entertainment features. Ford Evos Concept

Ford is debuting its global design direction for the future with a new concept called Evos. The shapely fastback is a showcase for the company's plans to explore green technology through plug-in hybrids and smart technology with the evolution of SYNC, Ford's in-car connectivity solution. One key feature is the use of Cloud technology to read driver habits and deliver information like work schedules and traffic/weather conditions. They're even looking into "Driver Wellness" where for example, the car would read the environment for a driver who is an allergy sufferer and suggest a healthier route using the car's air quality sensors and filtration systems. Not sure if we'll see a car like this in the immediate future, but one thing is for sure, its definitely an exciting time for the car industry. Link

Jaguar C-X75

I think we can stop worrying about Jaguar's new owners, because if you haven't noticed already Jaguar's design direction is nothing short of inspired and by the looks of their new concept there are some really exciting years ahead for the leaping cat. The C-X75 keeps the momentum going with a preview of the future that has the brand embracing its signature feline curves and the power you would expect under the hood of a Jaguar. So what's under the hood? A sophisticated hybrid system that features two micro-gas turbines combined with four Lithium powered electric motors (which in electric-mode can have you going for up to 68 miles) each touting 195 horsepower and 295lb-ft of torque. According to the company the car can potentially achieve 205 miles per hour and a 0 to 62 time of 3.4 seconds. Oh, and it can do that with zero tailpipe emissions in urban usage. I think its fair to say a faster, sleeker, greener Jaguar is one we can all get used to. Link

Mini Coupe Concept

While its design is sure to polarize the masses, in our opinion Mini's Coupe Concept is quite possibly the best idea to come out of their design studio since the re-launch of the modern day Mini Cooper. The concept celebrates the 50th anniversary of the brand with a compact two seater that is sure to be a hit in the segment if ever produced. The concept is powered by a 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, putting out a total of 211 horsepower which should deliver a fun driving experience when taken into the corners. We can only imagine the consensus will be mostly positive and it'll only be a matter of time before this amazing looking coupe hits a Mini showroom near you. More shots after the jump. Link / Source
